OIDHACO is participating as a partner organisation in the International Meeting of Women Searchers and invites individuals, organisations and institutions committed to the defence of human rights and the fight against enforced disappearances to learn about the initiative and take part in this international forum.
Enforced disappearances affect thousands of people worldwide. In the absence of truth, justice and redress, many women are leading the search for their loved ones, playing a vital role in the defence of human rights and peace-building.
From 6 to 10 March 2027, Barcelona will host the International Meeting of Women Searchers, promoted by the ICIP and organised in collaboration with OIDHACO and a wide range of organisations and institutions. It will be a forum for sharing experiences, strengthening support networks, fostering international alliances and developing collective proposals to tackle enforced disappearances.
The meeting is aimed at women searching for missing relatives from around the world and will also feature the participation of representatives from international organisations, experts and organisations supporting search processes and the fight against enforced disappearances.
Those interested may apply using the form available on the meeting’s website. The application period will remain open until 13 September 2026.
Here you will find all the information on the background and objectives of the initiative, the details of the event, the application form and the various ways in which you can get involved to help make this international event a success.
