Oidhaco has prepared six Thematic Factsheets for the new European Parliament and the European Union authorities elected in 2024. These documents provide an update on the country’s human rights situation, impunity and peace building. The Factsheets present new data on the situation of women’s rights, the situation of ethnic peoples, the environment, as well as trade relations between Colombia and the European Union from a human rights perspective. Finally, these Fact Sheets offer recommendations to the European Union and the international community in general to improve the Human Rights situation in Colombia, combat impunity and continue to support the implementation of the 2016 Peace Agreement and the ongoing peace dialogues with armed groups. The IACHR calls on States to guarantee freedom of expression and participation in public life for LGBTIQ+ people
